Joel Yanowitz,
President of Access Capital Management, Inc.

Mr. Yanowitz is the President of Access Capital Management, Inc., the General Partner/Investment Manager of two funds: Phoenix Lake Partners, LP, and Phoenix Lake Ltd.(offshore). The funds focus on achieving above average returns with low volatility through locating little known or difficult to access strategies and/or managers. He has over 25 years of investing experience, including stocks, bonds, real estate, and private venture investing in startup companies. He has also been a General Partner in a family investment partnership with holdings in real estate and both public and private securities, for over fifteen years.

In additional to his investment management experience, Mr. Yanowitz is also a nationally recognized executive consultant. He is known for his ability to help organizations accelerate progress on important business results, while simultaneously developing greater organizational flexibility and adaptability. Mr. Yanowitz is also an expert at designing and facilitating executive team development and alignment. His clients have included The Coca Cola Company, Nissan, Clorox, Travelocity.com, Daimler Chrysler Corporation, Cendant, The United Methodist Church, Red Lobster Restaurants, Pfizer, and AT&T as well as numerous small and mid-sized organizations.

He has also held leadership roles in running companies, managing sales, and launching startups. From 1995-2000, Mr. Yanowitz was a Vice President of Arthur D. Little, a global management consulting and technology development company. From 1985 to 1995, Mr. Yanowitz was the Managing Director of Innovation Associates, Inc., a fast-growing consulting and executive development firm that pioneered new approaches to organizational change and learning. Innovation Associates was acquired by Arthur D. Little in 1995. From 1977-1982, Mr. Yanowitz was President of R.E.C., Inc., an international training company that designed, developed, and conducted development programs that served to increase personal awareness, responsibility, and communication. Under his guidance, the company expanded operations, developed new training technologies, and dramatically increased its revenues.

Mr. Yanowitz has been featured in articles on organizational change appearing in Newsweek, Success, and Entrepreneur magazines; and has been published in three books and two journals. Mr. Yanowitz attended Thomas Jefferson College and is a graduate of Columbia University's Advanced Program in Organizational Development and Human Resources Management. He has served on a number of corporate and non-profit Boards. Current Directorships include AMD Telemedicine, Inc., The African Food and Peace Foundation, applying innovative community development methodologies to grass roots rural development in East Africa; and The Red Tomato, preserving family and sustainable farming through creating alternative food distribution systems.
